About Dispute Resolution Services
The Telecommunications Dispute Resolution (TDR) service is managed and provided by a New Zealand company, Dispute Resolution Services (DRS).
DRS is an award-winning, nationwide company, which has been operating since 1999. It resolves more disputes than any other company in the country, and is involved in disputes of all kinds and all levels of complexity – including medical, insurance, disability, employment, and commercial. The company is also ISO 9001 compliant.
DRS was appointed in July 2007 as the Scheme Agent to set up and manage the TDR service.
The TDR service is governed by the TDR Scheme. The TDR Scheme was set up by the Telecommunication Carriers' Forum. This is a collective of telecommunication companies that operate in New Zealand. The Forum developed the Customer Complaints Code and the Terms of Reference that are the basis of the TDR Scheme, and established TDR as an independent body for the prompt, unbiased resolution of disputes.
